To me, the epitome of great sax playing is not Springsteen's guy, but Johnny Colla of Huey Lewis and the News. Absolutely perfect and tasty. BUT, . . . I did get to see the great Paul Desmond with the Dave Brubeck Quartet circa 1968 or 69. Now there is a sax player.

I saw Brubeck in his later years with Bobby Militello. He was also a great player who carried on Paul Desmond's tradition.
