Whither Trump and the Indict?
No one knows how this will play out, certainly not the DemoKKKrats.
As President Trump faces his arraignment today, marking a historical first, pundits abound with predictions.
Not here. Not me. Well, this prediction. . . we don’t know yet what the fallout of this will be, except that it will be a colossally gigantic excrement show of historic proportions.
First, Manhattan DA Alvin Boast ‘n’ Bragg ran on getting Orange Man. This is already a win for him, regardless of whether—-or how soon—-the case is dismissed or Trump is found not guilty or the case is overturned. More on those options later. Bragg, however, has a winning hand with the voters, cuz he “got Trump.” Trump in court was what some of these analtards wanted more than to see their own children live.
Second, virtually anyone with a half-year’s legal training knows this case is pathetically weak: it is outside the statute of limitations, it involves issues that in all previous instances were midemeanors with minor fines; the principals have all testified to nothing happening; and the prosecutorial bias would, in any decent court setting, immediately be grounds for dismissal. But, of course, not in New Kabul (NYC).
Third, lawyer Robert Barnes has opined that any conviction on anything will be appealed and will ultimately get into the fed system. He also declared that “this will eventually go to the U.S. Supreme Court,” as the number of constitutional issues raised are immense and immediate. (More on those later). Bragg knows this.
Fourth, politically this is a morass. Does it help Trump? Hurt him? We know that the court is salivating to impose a gag order on Trump. But is such a violation of election laws? LET’S BE CRYSTAL CLEAR: THIS ELECTION IS ABOUT THE WEAPONIZATION OF THE LAW AGAINST ONE MAN, DONALD TRUMP, AND ABOUT THE UTTER EVIL OF THE SPOOGE-FILLED RECTAL PUPPIES IN THIS DEMONIC ADMINISTRATION. The question is, which of those two is the biggest driving factor.
Fifth, in my view Gov. Ron DeSantis not only destroyed his presidential hopes with his ill-considered “campaign,” but several aspects of his actions made me, for the first time, call into question many of his so-called strengths. For example, Trump was supposed to have a weakness in personnel choices. Yet whomever RDS appointed and/or listened to with regards to this race suggests he’s no better. Then there’s the assignations with Karl Rove, Yeb Bush, Paul Ryan (Ru Paul): those show “good adviser choices?” Then there is the whole Reedy Creek thing blowing up: it appears RDS’s people who dealt with that got snookered. We need to learn more here, but the surface info is that so far only his surgeon general has been a great pick: and ALL of Trump’s trade people were great.
The DeSantis campaign, if we are to believe Barnes who claims he was told by multiple sources, was based on the likelihood of Trump getting indicted.
Let that sink in.
Ron DeSantis planned a presidential run on “hoping” that the leading vote getter in all GOP history and the only one capable of winning the working-class/blue collar vote anywhere would be taken out on phony, bogus, and evil charges by DemoKKKRats. This is who you want running? He could have planned, if indeed he had this information, to “strategerize” with Trump to defeat this wicked set-up. He could have come out a hero.
Instead, DeSantis looks bad morally for not supporting a fellow R wrongfully charged—-a fellow R who happens to live in his own state—-but also looks bad practically for not seeing how it made him appear: ungrateful, opportunistic, callous. But it’s worse, because by “running-but-I’m-not-running,” DeSantis looks conniving. But it’s worse still: in all his statements about Boast ‘n’ Bragg, DeSantis has yet to acknowledge that this is all about one man and only about one man. Yes this is the “weaponization” of the law—-but it’s only weaponized against Trump, not Ted Cruz, not Rand Paul, and certainly not Ron DeSantis.
In the 1870s the French government, looking for a scapegoat for its horrible performance in the Franco-Prussian War, wrongly arrested and convicted Captain Alfred Dreyfus. The “Dreyfus Affair” became such a lightning rod that a Frenchman could just say “What is your view on l’affaire?” and people would know what he meant. Massive protests erupted. Editor Emile Zola published a famous headline, “J’Accuse!” about the fraud involved by the government and army in the investigation. Dreyfus was cleared, but not before he served years on Devil’s Island and was forced to confess to a bogus lesser crime. The French government finally restored his rank posthumously and admitted its error.
Here’s the point: NO ONE COULD TALK ABOUT THE EVIL, THE FRAUD, THE CORRUPTION OF THE FRENCH GOVERNMENT IN THIS CASE WITHOUT TALKING ABOUT DREYFUS!! He WAS the case. For DeSantis to dodge Trump’s name as though this is a generic “miscarriage of justice” is crapola. For him to say that people in the FBI “need to be held accountable” shows he is clueless or willfully blind toward the totally corrupted agency called the FBI. It shows
He. Doesn’t. Get. It.
How will this affect elections—-other than the GOP primary, which it just completely ensured Trump will win? Too soon to tell. Too many factors. But other than Trump, everyone involved in this so far has been devastatingly damaged and sullied. It’s like there was a mud wrestling pit and only Trump got out cleanly before the feces flew.
