One of my favorite movies is “Serial,” a 1970s film featuring Martin Mull, describing life in Mill Valley (SF) right as the culture was starting to go woke.
Sally Kellerman (“Hot Lips Houlihan” in “M.A.S.H.”) is a divorcee with an aptly-named 10-year-old named Stokely. When we first see Stokely, he is in the kitchen with Maria, the maid, who is dressed only in a bathrobe as it’s morning.
Stokely: “Please?”
Maria: “I will not do this thing.”
Stokely: “Please? I promise I’ll never ask again.”
Maria: “Just this one time, and we’re done?” (Stokely nods.)
Maria opens her robe as Stokely gapes.
Maria: “Ok, big shot. Whatcha gonna do now?”
Stokley: “I dunno. I never got this far before.”
The DemoKKKrats never thought it would get this far. That is, they truly believed that by this point President Trump would have quit. Or, they would have put him in jail. At the very least they would have already convicted him. They also thought, as Colorado is trying to do, several states would have already kicked him off the ballot. Or that DeSoros would have drawn sufficient disillusioned deplorables away that Trump would actually lose the nomination.
Or something . . .
Now they are in a panic, as seen in numerous screeching warnings from people such as James Carville, Mark Penn, Stan Greenbert, Ruy Teixeira, and others. These may be “old guar” advisors—-some from the Clinton era—-but they know how to count electors. Teixeira in particular has been vocal that Rutabaga has been losing the blue-collar vote, Hispanics, blacks, and even da youts.
A spate of polls game out of the last three weeks, and only one or two were good for Rutabaga. But even those, at best, were margin-of-error leads that would still likely lose him the election. But the rest? Hindenburg level disasters. Not only did he trail in almost all, trail by 3 in the RealClearPolitics average even with the super-favorable polls, but “inside the numbers” was a nightmare. He is at a 34% approval in one poll. He is at huge “net negatives” in others—-much more than President Trump ever was.
Yet Rutabaga will be the nominee who will lose. Why?
To quote Carole King, “It’s too late, baby, now it’s too late.” The time to dump Rutabaga was early in 2023, but they didn’t for several reasons:
*They banked on an economic recovery saving him. Statistically, some recovery has happened, but in the lives of voters, NYET!
*They truly believed Trump would be removed, and polls showed Rutabaga could beat DeSoros or Nick Knack Paddywhack Give a Uke a Bomb, easily.
*Rutabaga wasn’t this far down in early 2023. Heck, in several polls (but never the electoral college) he was up.
*Then there was the Big Cheat.
Now—-and this is very important—-it is absolutely evident that DemoKKKrats in the “know” do not think they can cheat their way to victory at this time. In fact, they (perhaps wrongly) are thinking Trump will bring a wave of House and Senate seats with him. I don’t see that happening—-maybe +5-10 in the House and 2 in the Senate. A shocker would be 20-30 and 4. But Trump won’t need those numbers. A majority in the House beyond the tantrum-caucus margin and 2 votes + the veep in the Senate will get most of the work done. The bigger stuff, as in totally abolishing the FBI? We’d need much bigger MAGA majorities in each. But let’s not get ahead of ourselves. DemoKKKrats still don’t understand MAGA or the Trump-only voter, and still think in terms of D/R.
Thus, the DemoKKKrats are truly screwed.
My court guru, Zen Master, thinks that after the Supreme Court today rejected Count Dooku’s petition for an early judgement on the Trump immunity petition, no trial except the ongoing civil trial (meaningless for electoral purposes) will occur before November. The people will speak.
If President Trump is reelected, he will pardon himself, meaning that in all likelihood the prosecutors drop the cases. Or—-just as likely—-Rutabaga pardons BOTH President Trump and Hunter (so as not to be accused of favoritism). Either way, the people will decide. If Rutabaga somehow pulls this all our, we all are probably looking at feds coming after us. Yes, even you doofus libs who think it won’t happen to you.
If Trump is reelected, he better come in with a Terminex van, a flamethrower, and 50 Mighty Men.
