For those who have ears, let them hear
I depart from my normal political commentary to spend some time on matters of faith. This isn’t for everyone. Anyone wanting the old LS political commentary, I assure you that like the Terminator, “I’ll be back.”
But in the meantime, what I see as the biggest crisis on the so-called “conservative” or religious side of the aisle today is a timidity, defeatism, lack of boldness, fatalism, and demonically-induced lethargy. Oh yes, the devil in his bag of tricks uses sleep—-both real and spiritual—-to keep us impotent.
One of the most common things I read or hear, even after stating all the myriad of positive news, whether about elections, rejection of woke, or anything else, is, “Yeah but they’ll just steal the election.” “Yeah but you remove Claudine Gay, there’s just another.” “Yeah but it won’t make any difference.”
Folks, we need to rebuke that demonic spirit in the name of Jesus. Why do you think that at EVERY OPPORTUNITY God through His prophets reminded the children of Israel what He has just done for them? He wasn’t bragging. He was combatting that defeatism that is one of the devil’s greatest tools, up there with lust and pride. When the Israelites came to the promised land the first time, they easily could have taken it. But 12 spies were sent out. TEN were losers, defeatists, Eyores. “Oh, there are too many to defeat. They’re too big, bad, and strong. We’re insects in their eyes.” God never ever tells us to see ourselves how others—-especially our enemies—-see us, but how HE SEES US. As “victorious conquerors.” As “overcoming conquerors.” As “the head, and not the tail,” as “blessed coming in and blessed going out.”
Today’s Christians act as though the “armor of God” is some sort of defensive castle they are to hide within. NO! The “armor of God” is to protect you while you are on offense. Jesus, standing in the area where they had sacrifices to Pan and sexual orgies called “Pandemonium” in front of the “gates of Hell” as it was called, told the disciples that He would build His church and the “gates of Hell” would not prevail [or stand] against it. This completely gives the image of an army with trebuchets, siege equipment, and battering rams smashing down the castle gates, which cannot hold against it. That’s offense, my friends.
If you are active, persecution in various forms is coming. Big deal. We’ve already seen it often in mild forms, with constant demonic chatter about how bad “Christians are.” Paaatoey! Spit it out and charge. Use the Name of Jesus, constantly. They can’t stand that. It is like an force shield recharger that empowers you for success.
Paul told Timothy “We are not given the Spirit of fear [defeatism, negativity, sloth, timidness, weakness, concern, anxiety, “but what if . . .s”] but of POWER and of love and of a sound mind. Interesting that Paul there listed POWER first. You are empowered. The enemy’s power is far less than yours. The cheat can be overcome. The corruption can be crushed.
Lastly, in the natural do not be McClellans, like Civil War general George B. McClellan (a DemoKKKrat) who, despite constantly outnumbering and out gunning the South’s Robert E. Lee, always thought he was the one outnumbered. He always hesitated, waiting on more men (more power). Even at Antietam when God put into his hands Robert E. Lee’s actual disposition of forces and battle plans, he was slothful and too cautious. Think about that folks. For all intents and purposes, McClellan could have won the Civil War in the fall of 1862. His unwillingness to be bold, as Napoleon would have done, resulted in three more years of horrific carnage. Everyone, on both sides, even civilians, paid a huge price for his lack of aggressiveness.
Who will pay the price if we are timid, fearful, and defeatist? And your defeatism only spreads to others. STOP IT. Become Shermans. Become Pattons. Become Napoleons. “Screw the numbers, I will win because I will get there firstest with the mostest.” But always remember the source of that power. His Name.
