A quick update on my books and movies
Hi all,
My audience is growing (yay) but some of you may not know about some of my books, films, or other products. So here is a quick synopsys.
We begin with my NYTimes #1 bestseller, A Patriot’s History of the United States, now in its fifth edition (15th Anniversary Edition, up through 2018). This is in its 38th !!! printing. It is a comprehensive, bouncy, well-researched history of America from Columbus to Trump. I have had 8th graders come up and praise it (947 pp!). Over 40 pp of endnotes and sources. It is the spine reader for my Wild World of History US History Curriculum. When people ask, “of all your books, where do I start?” Here.
Next is my most current book, Dragonslayers: Six Presidents and their War with the Swamp, which looks at Lincoln (Slave Swamp), Cleveland (Spoils Swamp), TR (Trust Swamp), JFK (CIA Swamp), Reagan (Bureaucracy Swamp) and Trump (Deep State). Some were more successful than others. Why?
The #2 fan favorite is 48 Liberal Lies About American History. I took the top 20 US History textbooks and looked at what they had to say about these topics.
In Seven Events that Made America America, I looked at seven events in our past that are rarely discussed, but in one way or another really defined our character, including the Johnstown Flood, Ike’s Heart Attack, the Dred Scott case, and more.
That book’s chapter on rock music was the basis for my 2010 film “Rockin’ the Wall,” featuring the Doors, Quiet Riot, Toto, Vanilla Fudge, and many more rockers who played behind the Iron Curtain. Also featured are interviews with people from behind the Iron Curtain including the major music producer from Germany, Leslie Mandoki.
My sequel was “Other Walls 2 Fall,” continuing the story of music vs. tyranny, and featuring Yanni, Busta Rhymes, Clint Black, and a heavy metal band from Tehran!!
Available only on Amazon, I wrote a history of rock and roll with Vanilla Fudge singer/keyboardist Mark Stein. Mark played with everybody and has amazing stories, but this is also a very solid history of rock. You Keep me Hangin’ On.
Finally, in 2018 I completed my biography of the greatest president of the 20th Century, Ronald Reagan. Tons of material here from the Reagan archives that no one else had seen.
And don’t forget my www.wildworldofhistory.com where I have a full US and World History curriculum for high schoolers. These include teacher’s guide, student workbooks, tests, all images/maps I use in instruction, and me teaching all units (22 for US, 15 for World) in high production video.
