Around the horn on latest political developments

(All the stories I reference here are posted in “Today’s News” either yesterday or today).

The political landscape has settled somewhat. The Demented Pervert Biteme has found a new level where he has stabilized: CIVIQs poll has him at 34%, another has him at 39%, his RealClearPolitics average is 40%. Again, apply margin of error, he is between a low of about 30% and a high of about 42%. My bet is he’s right at 33-34%.

That means two-thirds of America does not agree with him on much of anything. But it’s really worse, because those who “strongly disagree” or “strongly disapprove” are now growing with every poll. These people would be the “Unconvincables,” namely there is nothing he can do to get them back. They are like virginity. Once lost . . .

So the political calculations are, “Will he 1) stay the same? 2) improve? 3) get worse?” Given that yesterday two more DemoKKKrat congressmen announced they will not seek reelection (bringing the total of Ds to 28, Rs to 14) it seems like their answer is either #1 or #2.

Would a betting man bet that Bitme will plateau? I don’t gamble, but if I did, no way would I think he has reached anywhere near his bottom. In the period of one week he pretty much angered anyone not on the left and many blacks by comparing Martin Luther King, Jr. to George Floyd.

Meanwhile, voter registration numbers in IA, PA, FL, NC, and AZ continue to trend toward the GOP. In Pennsylvania, Republicans have shaved 92,000 off a DemoKKKrat statewide lead in a state Biteme (even with massive cheating) only “won” by 81,000). Put another way, as of now the Pennsylvania DemoKKKrats would have to exceed their cheat levels of 2000 to get the same result!

Where can the Rutabaga improve? I see no issue where he can get better, and several where he can collapse. Most notably, if he somehow gets the U.S. in a military confrontation with the Russkies, look for the entire aging 1960s hippie cohort to be joined by a new conservative anti-neocon majority that would make the protest marches of the 60s look like a line at Baskin-Robbins.

(Which, by the way, because of the Biteme economy can only now offer three flavors).

Is the illegal immigration situation going to improve? Is crime with that lunatic Merrick (Grand Moff) Garland at the helm of the Imperial Star Destroyer? Is trade? Is the energy situation going to get better?

We have just started to experience truly high inflation for the first time since Jesus Carter; and are dealing with actual empty shelves for the first time in American post-war history.

Right now “analysts” are saying that the GOP generic lead should translate to a senate pickup of four seats. I have spoken to a source actively involved in funding campaigns who thinks the number is closer to ten.

And yes, things can get better, regardless of Biteme. But I wouldn’t count on it.
