President Trump's tariffs have presented a golden opportunity for "MADE IN THE USA" to mean something again.
I’m old enough to remember that “Made in the USA” was a meaningful label. There were times in the 1960s when American cars—-even though they lacked some of the newest tech, such as disc brakes or fuel injection—-still were awesome machines. There was a time that U.S. Steel (now USX) was the best in the world. American employees and managers took pride in what they made, and they made it with skill.
