MORE THAN A NOTE . . .

Let me explain something about voter registration #s and why I think they are so important and why, apparently unlike so many others, I’m not that concerned about the precious independents.
To me, an independent is someone who really doesn’t stand for a lot. They blow like the leaves. Of course they get worked up about one or two pet issues—-could be anything from H1Bs to abortion to guns—-but by and large they do not have a cohesive world view. This is best epitomized the the oft-heard phrase, “I vote for the man/woman, not the party.”
Well, as we saw with the Obamacare voting process 15 years ago, that slogan is full of poo. EVERY SINGLE DEMOKKKRAT “man/woman” who voters put in—-even those who, supposedly, were “pro-life”—-ended up voting for Obamacare. Some were bribed, some were strong-armed, some were threatened by losing committee seats or other perks. Several pro-life DemoKKKrat Congressmen voted for Obamacare. None of them survived the next election, but it didn’t matter. They were cared for.
So I have a low opinion of independent voters. All it takes to “get” them is to bend a little bit on certain issues during the campaign. By definition they do not like to be called a Republican or DemoKKKrat because many believe they are “above” the party system. In short, by definition they are far more malleable than either registered DemoKKKrats or Republicans.
We are currently seeing the collapse of the DemoKKKrat Party in terms of its registered voters. Where are they going? MANY are becoming “independent.” But that’s not even a good sign for them, as it means that the DemoKKKrat Party has become so toxic they don’t even want to be around the name. MANY are fully converting to the Republican Party, essentially becoming a new wave of RINOs. SOME are going full MAGA.
So, while neither party anymore can win just with their base—-and much less so for DemoKKKrats—-the toxicity of the DemoKKKrat Party as caused today’s independents to be perhaps one step closer to Republicans.
Can bad policies turn them off? Of course. If, for example, by 2028 the economy hasn’t improved for ordinary people, J.D. Vance would be cooked. Thanks go gerrymandering, however, based on how the lawsuits involving TX and CA shake out and what happens with the IN and VA redistricting, the indies will play a far smaller role in the 2026 election.
One thing is for sure: for over a year, the voter registrations (with the exception of single “off” months involving, almost always, DemoKKKrat primary races) have been 100% consistently, totally, and overwhelmingly in the direction of the Republicans. And that in itself is a huge message people shouldn’t miss.
