Last night came the first indications of the massive, nearly universal pushback against the Demented Pervert Biteme and his evil, fraudulent administration. It wasn’t just Virginia. In almost every state or locality where there were elections, the more conservative candidate or position won with very few exceptions. (All these stories and links referenced are in my “Today’s News” column at www.uncoverdc.com to appear later today).
Obviously Virginia was a stunner to the DemoKKKrats, but not so much to conservative pollsters such as Richard Baris of Big Data Polling and Robert Cahaley of Trafalgar, who got it exactly right (barring last minute shifts in absentee ballots). Glen Youngkin’s victory stemmed from his very narrowly tailored Virginia/local message on schools and the vax mandates. He distanced himself from Trump (maybe not such a great idea given that some of the exit polling showed jobs/the economy were #1 and #2 among the issues most voters cared about, with schools only being #3 and the China Virus either #4 or 5. Still there is no question that the issues of Communist Racist Theory (CRT), which the Hoax News media says “doesn’t exist,” and the rapes in Loudoun School District that were kept hidden from parents played a central role in Youngkin’s victory. In some of the counties he did far better than Donald Trump did in 2020, exceeding Trump’s numbers by 10 or even 15 points. Even the Fairfax Fraud couldn’t prevent a Youngkin victory.
Moreover, it wasn’t just him, but an ass-kicking across the spectrum, with black Republican Winsome Sears, a gun-toting ex-Marine, winning the Lt. Governor’s race (first ever, though you won’t see that on CNN or MSNBC), and the GOP taking control of the VA House.
New Jersey’s governor’s race, which everyone had written off as a DemoKKKrat win, may be just that, but barely. It is currently close enough for a recount with the Republican holding a small lead while awaiting the absentee ballots. Still, Ciatarelli, the Republican, had called Trump supporters “nuts,” and might now be regretting that he didn’t have a few more of their votes. Meanwhile, several NJ legislative seats changed hands including the senate president who was beaten by a truck driver, Ed Durr, who spent a total of $200 on his campaign. Even better, the Hoax News media had to retract their calls for DemoKKKrats in three of these races.
Seattle looks to elect a Republican prosecutor; the Trump-endorsed Congressman in OH won; and a defund the police measure backed by Illicit Mullah Omar lost in Minneapolis. A GOP Hispanic won in an overwhelmingly Hispanic district for a Texas state house seat. Long Island was a blowout for Rs. And on and on.
So now begins the analysis, blame-laying, and excuses. First up is that either the Virginia voters were too stupid to know what they were voting for (with leftoids insisting that there is “no such thing” as Critical Race Theory) or that white voters were racist for insisting their kids not be taught . . . you know, that thing that doesn’t exist. Moveover, nationwide 72% according to Rasmussen say the cancel culture is out of control.
Many will rush to claim that Trump had no influence in Virginia, but that’s problematic. In exit polling, as pollster Richard Baris noted in his podcast last night, jobs and the economy were #1 and #2 in some order in most exit polls. Education was only #3 as the most important issue; vaxxes were #5. That doesn’t mean either ed or the jabs were unimportant, but it does reiterate the fact that the main Trump issues of economic health remain at the top.
The dirty little secret is that no matter what a GOP House does—-if Republicans win in 2022—-the economy cannot recover so long as the Rutabaga is issuing evil and growth-killing executive orders. In other words, the issues still overwhelmingly favor MAGA and Trump. Does anyone think those issues will get better in the next three years?
Unless a dominant GOP materializes in the Senate, which is not possible given the senate races in 2022, even Republican control there won’t be sufficient to convict an impeached Biteme. We are stuck with him and his exec orders. Maybe the GOP should have fought the fraud harder in 2020?
The fact is no Republican can even remotely generate enthusiasm on a national level like Trump can. Why is that? Two big reasons: he still is the only one who can’t be bought, and his MAGA issues are national, whereas so far Ron DeSantis (his only potential challenger) has remained entirely local in his comments and world view. DeSantis has been a godsend for Florida, but he has not—-or will not—-expand his Florida-specific policies to a national ideology that would have Michigan, Arizona, Nevada, or Pennsylvania blue collar voters coming out for him. Only Trump has that connection, and the GOP better realize that without Trump, no matter how excited some suburban parents get, the blue-collar vote simply will not materialize for Republicans.
Thus you have goofball stickpickles like Ann Coulter or John Cardillo trying to act like Trump is over.
Not in a million years. All that happened last night is that MAGA added another arrow to its quiver in the form of anti-CRT and education, both of which Trump has led in for some time.
